Reds and Bucs Split

Cincinnati's Aaron Harange tossed a three-hit shutout Sunday in beating the Pirates 2-0. Brandon Phillips two-run first inning homer accounted for the game's scoring. Ian Snell and the bulllpen shutdown the Reds the rest of the way but the damage was done.

Along with Harange, the Pirates' defense was the story in this one. Pittsburgh turned its first triple play in 16 years. Jack Wilson also started a spectacular double play in which he made a diving stop and flipped the ball from his glove to secondbaseman Freddy Sanchez who turned the duce.

Nyjer Morgan had two of the three hits for the Pirates to continue his hot hitting. The first of 81 at PNC Park is scheduled today against Houston.
