The Penguins look to claim a playoff spot when they visit Tampa Bay Tuesday night. This is the third chance in three games for Pittsburgh to officially move into the post season, a place that not too long ago, seemed highly unlikely. That was until interim coach Dan Bylsma took over and brought fun back into the game for the Pens. The passion returned, the team was tweaked with key trades thanks to the magic of Ray Shero and the winning returned. Now it's a matter of clinching a spot to determine the first round opponent.
There still is the matter of deciding the league scoring champion-Art Ross Trophy. A Pittsburgh player has won it 12 times, Sidney Crosby the last in 2006-'07. Evengi Malkin (108) is in line to win it this year but probably can't cruise to the title. His lead is down to two points over Alexander Ovechkin, with Crosby third nine points back. Malkin and Crosby were pointless in the last two games-losses-at Carolina and Florida.
