The Pens came away from Montreal winners on two fronts Saturday night. The first victory came over the Canadians 3-1. A pair of shorthanded goals from Max Talbot and Kris Letang 55 seconds apart in the third period proved to be the difference.
The second win came via Evgeni Malkin who won the Art Ross Trophy for leading the league in scoring. Malkin scored the first goal of the game to finish the season with 35 goals and 113 points three more than Washington's Alex Ovechkin.
Pittsburgh now turns its attention to Sunday's game between Philadelphia and the Rangers. A win in regulation by New York means the Pens will be the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference and have home ice advantage in their opening round series against the Flyers. If Philadelphia earns one point, it will be the fourth seed and have the home ice in the playoffs against the Pens.
